After the incident, The chief of the department announced their death by video message on social media.
On Tuesday The Chief of Marion County Fire and Rescue, James Banta said that Tripp Wooten and Allen Singleton fire paramedics committed suicide on January 28 and January 9 respectively.
Banta said that he had some words with the family members of the firefighters. He is aware of a number of issues affecting both of them such as low pay, mandatory overtime, PTSD workload, and lack of sleep addiction.

Tripp Wooten and Allen Singleton are two firefighter-paramedics with the Marion County Fire and Rescue, in Marion County, Florida.
Allen Singleton has also worked for the department for six years. He was a proud member of the MCFR/MCSO SWAT Medic team and a two-time Golden Axe winner in the department’s physical competitions.
Tripp Wooten also served in the division in December 2006. He has been part of the MCFR Career Academy Class of 2006. He spent several years as a part of the Haymes Road Hooligans at Bellevue Station 18.
