BMW Championship purse 2023
The BMW Championship is operating with a Mary Poppins-esque purse in 2023 — checking in at $20 million. That is a $5 million increase over 2022's big bag of cash. For those that put together tournament, they'll inflate their bank account balance after only a few days of work.
How much does the BMW Championship winner get?
Each golfer comes into the weekend with 3.6 million reasons to win the BMW Championship — thanks to the $3.6 million payout that the winner will receive. Cantlay will hope that everything really does come in threes, and he can walk away with the big prize for the third consecutive year.
If he does, it'll be a sizable increase in winnings after taking home $2.7 million in 2022 and $1.71 million in 2021.
The runner-up will earn a nice payday of $2.16 million and third place won't have much to complain about either — leaving Illinois $1.36 million richer.
