Antimatter Dimensions (2016) - MobyGames

The Good
The game's attempts at humor are the only positive point I can think of, but that simply is not enough.

The Bad
I found that the only thing it was unlocking was my boredom. It's like watching paint dry, but with the added "thrill" of producing antimatter instead. To achieve the game's goal of reaching Infinity and receiving an Infinity point, you have to go through a tedious process of purchasing dimensions, manually boosting them every 10 purchases, and performing dimension shifts to unlock new dimensions until there are 8. After that, dimension boosts replace dimension shifts, but by then, you'll might have already uninstalled.

The game tries to add excitement with various challenges, but they do little to break the monotony of the basic gameplay loop. There are also over 100 Steam achievements, which would be impressive if they weren't all variations of the same goal: producing more and more antimatter. The game boasts a custom scripting language that you can use to automate some gameplay, but even that added level of automation can't make this game more engaging.

The Bottom Line
I was hoping the Steam edition of this would be better than the browser version, but it isn't. Did not take very long to make that determination...

Overall, I'd give this game a pass - there are much better idlers or incremental games out there. I do not recommend it.
